Witness did not create events or revise anyone’s memory. He was there and clearly said what he had seen. As the community grew, the same event began to have multiple versions; Witness gave the experience a starting point that could be acknowledged. But a witness will eventually leave, and truth cannot depend forever on one person’s voice.
