Translator discovered that a literal translation could preserve the words while losing the intent. He expressed the spirit of the protocol in forms different groups could use, while refusing to quietly change the original meaning for either side. Translation allowed more people to take part, and brought a new risk: as expressions were rewritten, privacy and boundaries could be exposed without anyone noticing.
