Story

Recoverer faced broken links, files that had lost their context, and memories reduced to fragments. He did not pretend he could restore things exactly as they were. He separated what had evidence, what was only an inference, and what had to be acknowledged as lost. The value of recovery was not making things complete, but keeping fabricated certainty from filling the gaps.
He left: Memories marked with their gaps.
He handed to 040: Principles that had to be understood again in a new situation.
